DXT 2019 Dolomiti Extreme Trail

From September 15, it will be possible to join the Val di Zoldo event, scheduled for June 8th and 9th. In these days, promotion in Chamonix for the occasion of the Utmb.

It is already time to sign up for the Dolomiti Extreme Trail, the Val di Zoldo event (Dolomiti Bellunesi) that will celebrate the 7th edition of the next 8 and 9 June, proposing the three routes of this 2018: the 103 K (7,150 meters of positive difference in height and the same number of difference in level), 53 K (3,800 meters in altitude) and 23 K (1,000 meters in altitude).

The opening of the registrations for the event organized by the Atletica Zoldo is scheduled for September 15th, on the official website www.dolomitiextremetrail.com. For the first month and a half, that is until October 31st, the cost of registration for the longest race, 103 K, will be 108 euros. The next steps will be from 1 November to 31 January (128 euro) and from 1 February to 25 May (148 €). As for the 53 K, up to 31 October the registration will be 57 euro, then pass at 77 euros (1 November - 31 January) and 95 euros (1 February - 27 May). Finally, the 23 K registration will be 23 euros (until October 31st), 28 euros (November 1st - January 31st) or 35 euros (February 1st - May 27th).

Enrollment entitles each competitor to take advantage of the numerous services offered by the organization (from showers to refreshments, from health care to massage services) and the race packet. In relation to the race package there is an important novelty for 2019: the 103 K and 53 k finisher will receive the technical head (leggings 3/4, collection 2019) Odlo Swiss company specialized in sportswear that since 2019 it will be joined by Haglöfs, historical partner of Dxt.

In these days, meanwhile, Dxt is present with its own promotional booth in Chamonix (France) takes place the Ultra trail du Mont Blanc (Utmb, 27 August - 2 September), one of the "monument" events regarding the trail world . Among other things, Dxt will once again qualify for the Utmb, awarding 5 points to the 103 K finisher and 4 points to the 53 K finisher.

As early as the first edition, Dxt also for 2019 focuses heavily on foreign participation: as well as on European countries, the traditional catchment area of ​​the Zoldo event, for the next edition, targeted promotions were planned for the United States and Japan. Last year foreign participants were 50 percent of the total and there were as many as 39 nations. The winner was a foreigner, the Swede Petter Restorp.

DXT 2019

A magical journey, full of emotions in Dolomites, an uncontaminated environment, officially UNESCO world heritage. Due to its circular structure, The Val di Zoldo boasts a ring-shaped route (Anello Zoldano) that allows one to touch some of the most spectacular dolomite massifs that crowns the valley. One can discover wild ad uncontaminated territories: the MEZZODI' group and the National Park of the Dolomities in the Belluno Province, the S.SEBASTIANO – TAMER mountains, and also one of the most colossal rocky sequences of the Dolomites, the MOIAZZA and the CIVETTA. Mount PELMO, isolated and grandious, Mount RITE with the “Museum in the Clouds” -Messner Mountain Museum, and the BOSCO NERO group. prize for all races will be given to every athlete who: In the 103k will arrive at least at the Duran Pass time barrier - 30 km (regardless of the time taken): running leggings ODLO Bottom long. In the 53k he will arrive at least at the Staulanza Pass time barrier - 37 km (regardless of the time taken): running leggings ODLO Bottom long. In the 23k will complete the course: HAGLOFS Headband or Fanatic Print Cap

Race: DXT 103 km D+ 7150M D- 7150M

The trail starts with the group of mountains of the MEZZODI'. Here you will discover wild and uncontaminated territories up until the Pramper area (Pramperet Hut - km 14,5-refreshment 4 - 1857 m - National Park of the Belluno Dolomites). The S.SEBASTIANO – TAMER mountains follow and when reaching the Duran pass (km 28,2 - refreshment 6 at S. Sebastiano Hut – 1605 m), one of the most colossal rocky sequences starts, that develops northwards with the MOIAZZA and CIVETTA. Here, the terrain alternates between wide glacial circles and “solitary furrowed fields”. It is incredibly solemn and extremely exiting to run through the gigantic base of the “Grande Civetta” until the Coldai Hut (km 42,5 – refreshment 9 – 2135 m). You then run at the foot of the isolated yet grandiose Mount PELMO, a mountain that polarises your vision, a mountain considered to be amongst the most fascinating and unique of the Dolomites with Passo Staulanza Hut (km 52 - refreshment 11 - 1766 m). You then pass by Zoppè di Cadore (km 64 - refreshment 13 – 1462 m) and Talamini Hut (km 69 – refreshment 14 – 1582 m), to reach the Museum in the Clouds at the peak of the Monte Rite (Reinhold Messner Mountain Museum with the Dolomites Hut – km 79 – refreshment 15 – 2160 m). From here, you proceed to finally reach the BOSCO NERO (Casera Bosconero Hut -km 89 – refreshment 18 – 1457 m) , while admiring the SPIZ di MEZZODI’, two mountains that complete the coronation of the valley, before descending to the finishing line along the Fagarè Nature Path.

Race: DXT 53 km D+ 3800M D- 3800M

Following the set off, you run through the S.SEBASTIANO – TAMER mountain group, moving on towards the Duran pass (km 17 - refreshment – 1605 m), where one of the most colossal rocky sequences starts that develops northwards with the MOIAZZA and CIVETTA. Here, the terrain alternates between wide glacial circles and “solitary furrowed fields”. It is incredibly solemn and extremely exiting to run through the gigantic base of the “Grande Civetta” until the Coldai Hut (km 27,5 – refreshment – 2135 m). You then run at the foot of the isolated yet grandiose Mount PELMO, a mountain that polarises your vision, a mountain considered to be amongst the most fascinating and unique of the Dolomites with the Staulanza Hut (km 37 – refreshment – 1766 m). Finally, after Tamai pass (km 43,5 – refreshment – 1715 m), the trail reaches the spectacular panoramic point of the Monte PUNTA (km 47 – 1952 m). Southwards from here you will be able to admire the BOSCO NERO and SPIZ di MEZZODI’, that complete the coronation of the valley.

Race: DXT 23km D+ 1000M D- 1000M

The 23k is a race without obligatory equipment. It is a race aimed to discover small and quaint boroughs of the valley, amongst the local hay barns, old fountains, churches, while being able to admire the Dolomites along the whole route. The Race starts from the main square in Forno, along trails to Pra longo and up to a spectacular borough named Colcerver. It follows along milk routes to Sottorogno e Dont and then up again to Villa, Astragal, Casal, Pieve, Campo, to finish back at the starting point in Forno
