In each race up to a maximum of 4 athletes can be registered, 3 of which bring score for the team classification.

The choices of senior athletes will be made based on:

Pre-selected athletes: Bernard Dematteis (champion)

First two athletes classified in the trial identified as indicative: Gazzaniga (BG) - 9 June 2019

Technical choice based on the results obtained in national and international competitions

The choices of junior athletes will be made based on:

Best three classified in the trial identified as indicative: Trophy Jack Canali / Albavilla (Co) 26 May 2019

First two classified in the Italian Individual and Company Championship - second round (ascent and descent), in progress at Arco (TN) on September 22nd 2019

Greater technical consistency based on direct comparisons in international and national activity on race tracks similar to those of the World Championship

42 km 3100 m D+

Given that the formation of a complete team, both female and male, is subject to the possibility of deploying sufficiently competitive teams, will be entered up to a maximum of 5 athletes per race, 3 of which bring score for the team classification.

The choices of senior athletes will be made based on:

Pre-selected athletes: Silvia Rampazzo (2017 World Champion), Francesco Puppi (2017 World Champion), Alessandro Rambaldini (2018 World Champion).

Technical choice on the basis of national and international competitions of duration and distance / height difference similar to those of the World Championship, with priority attention to: Italian Mountain Long Distance Running Championship and Italian Short Trail Championship; Sierre Zinal / Zinal (SUI), 11 August 2019; Giir di Mont / Premana (LC), 28 July 2019; Mont Blanc Marathon / Chamonix (FRA), 30 June 2019.
