The Tor des Géants is a walking race in a natural environment, which runs along the paths of the Highways 1 and 2 of the Valle d'Aosta (Italy) with start and arrival in the Municipality of Courmayeur. Route of about 330 km with a positive difference of about 24000 m, which crosses the territory of 34 municipalities. The race takes place in a single stage, free speed, in a limited time, in semi-self-sufficiency.

Tor des Géants

The Tor des Géants is the first and only competition that unites the long distance to the individuality of the runner, are not imposed by the organization forced stops, will win those who will put less time managing the rest and stops at the refreshment. The Tor des Géants is the first race of this kind that involves an entire region, along its beautiful trails at the foot of the most important 4000 of the Alps and through the Gran Paradiso National Park and the Regional Park of Mont Avic. All these peculiarities make this race a unique and inimitable race. This trail is not only a competitive sporting event, but also a means of tourism promotion for the Valle d'Aosta territory and the municipalities involved. The Tor des Géants will take place from 9 to 16 September 2018 starting from Courmayeur at 12:00 on Sunday 9 September and maximum time until 18:00 on Saturday 15 September. The award ceremony will be held on Sunday 16 September 2018 at the Courmayeur Mountain Sport Center. The maximum time to complete the test is 150 hours.

Tot Dret

The Tot Dret is the race that joins the toughest and most fascinating trail in the world: the Tor des Géants®. A taste, and also quite substantial, of the magical environments that it crosses and its unreplicable atmospheres. A trail of 130 kilometers and 12 thousand meters of positive gradient that starts from Gressoney and arrives in Courmayeur. An unmissable opportunity for those who want to try a "short" endurance trail, as an approach to more demanding races, for those who want to enjoy the close views on some of the Tor Géants (Rosa, Cervino and Mont Blanc), the affection volunteers and the hospitality of the villages. This trail is not only a competitive sporting event, but also a means of tourism promotion for the Valle d'Aosta territory and the municipalities involved. The Tot Dret will take place from 11 to 13 September 2018 starting from Gressoney-St-Jean at 21:00 on Tuesday 11 September and maximum time until 17:00 on Thursday 13 September. The award ceremony will be held on Sunday 16 September 2018 at the Courmayeur Mountain Sport Center. The maximum time to complete the test is 44 hours.

Results of 2018

The ninth edition of the Tor de Geants, 330 km of grueling Endurance Trail with a positive difference of 24,000 meters between the highways 1 and 2 of the Valle d'Aosta, starts and finishes in Courmayeur. The members of this edition were 765, 394 of them Italian, but with representations from almost every part of the world. To dominate the race from the early stages and to win it was the champion of Ultratrail Franco Collé from the Crazy Team - Hoka One One. The athlete crossed the line this afternoon shortly after 2pm, officially becoming the first rider to have won two editions of the Tor de Geants. His final time was 74 hours 03 minutes and 29 seconds.

Una battaglia durata 3 giorni e finita sulla linea del traguardo senza lasciare nemmeno una briciola di energia da consumare. Un grazie a tutte le persone che sul campo e da casa mi hanno seguito incitando e tifando! Siete stati veramente tanti e ci avete dato una forza enorme. Among the women Silvia Ainhoa ​​Trigueros Garrote heads, with a consistent advantage over the English Jamie Aarons. Behind them, two extremely well-known Italians: Scilla Tonetti and Giulia Saggin. Basque from the first to the last kilometer, the Basque ends its effort in 87 hours and 50 minutes (10 hours less than last year's time, which was 97 hours and 43 minutes and which earned it the second place ). Behind her, a couple coming from a thousand emotions, after having fought for the entire race, Scilla Tonetti and Jamie Aarons decide to get hand to hand in Courmayeur after 95 hours and 54 minutes.
