The first edition of the Transcavallo Equinox Run took place on the Alpine mountains in the Alpago on Sunday morning: a skyrace that took place along the paths and on the peaks that in the winter of 2017 assigned the world titles of ski mountaineering. The winner is the Sandro Salvador and Enrico Bonati team that led the head of the race until the end of the second climb (Monte Cornor) and the Andrea Protti and Nicola Calzolari team that in the third descent have asserted their talents of downhiller to gain and maintain the first position. Protti-Calzolari team closed with a time of 2h44'49'' with 1'37'' advantage over Salvador-Bonati. In third position the Valmassoi-Dakota team. Among the women, the victory went to Susanna and Linda Menardi team in front of Elisa Gris and Edith Dal Zotto team. Among the mixed couple dominoes of the international team of Martina Valmassoi and of Dakota Jones in front of the home team of Roberta Dal Borgo and Diego Svalduz. Michela Bortoluzzi and Daniel De Battista went up the third step of the podium.
The Organization has set up two routes, one reserved for teams and one for individual competitors, the team test route measured about 21.6 kilometers for a total climb of only 1937 meters. The individual test, on the other hand, involved only one climb to conquer Cima Vacche, with 12.7 kilometers for a positive difference in altitude of 1054 meters.
